Lavni is a digital time capsule app that allows you to send messages and media into the future. You write letters or upload files, specify a future date, and seal the capsule. It remains locked and inaccessible until that date arrives.

Is my data secure in the time capsule?

Yes. Message text is encrypted with industry-standard AES-256 before being written to our database, media files are kept in private storage, and strict database Row-Level Security (RLS) blocks direct access. A capsule only opens through the unlock flow once its release date has passed.

Can I open my time capsule early?

For Private Capsules, a secure 6-digit PIN is generated upon sealing. This PIN acts as a cryptographic bypass key and is the only way to unlock the capsule before its scheduled date. Keep it safe, as it cannot be reset or recovered by anyone, including the support team.

How do Collaboration Capsules work?

Collaboration Capsules are designed for group events like weddings, birthdays, or farewells. You share a link or a printed QR code. Contributors can submit messages, photos, and videos without creating an account. The capsule seals automatically when the contribution window ends and opens for all participants on the target date.

What is Lavni's refund and cancellation policy?

Due to the permanent allocation of encrypted cloud resources upon sealing, all purchases are final and non-refundable. Under EU consumer protection regulations, you explicitly agree that the service begins immediately upon sealing and you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal.

Privacy, UGC Moderation, and Regulatory Compliance
